  • Statement:
  • I aspire my art to be a medium for powerful meditative and mystical experiences of contemplation and to be a ressource for psychological resilience. My process of creating a work of art occurs mostly during challenging and transitional periods of my life, and like many artists i cannot deny some kind of narcissistic self-encountering and hedonistic self -centered exploration of myself. I withdraw myself from the outside world and enter altered states of consciousness with the help of music and dancing with the purpose of travelling through an inner universe of emotional struggles and adaption to push my personal limits and enter new personal flexibilities. My art helps me to gather strength and be flexible enough for personal development and altered states of perception. Many of my paintings have no titles since i tend to find titles to be distracting from your own very personal connection to the painting. I prefer strong and vivid colors, raw contrasts and mixed media techniques. I use knives or fingers as a method of application so the art for me is a full body experience. I prefer my work to be spontaneous rather than designed upfront with sketches and designs. The strong internal psychological process of creation itself is most important to me. The outcome is meant to be moving and creating an attachment but not "beautiful or perfect speaking in terms of design". Inspirations i get from lowbrow art, outsider art and underground artists....self taught, heart-felt, not insitutionalized..... "cultural art in its entirety appears to be the game of a futile society, a fallacious parade." - Jean Dubuffet
