Description:
One of a series of paintings examining a desire to deeply connect with the natural world. In part based on readings on the theory of "biophilia" put forward by E.O Wilson, a reexamination of myth and an exploration of the materiality of paint the series, the work draws upon the history of mythological and symbolic connections with flowers and recent research that seems to suggest that medicinal plants may be embedded with a sort of ?consciousness? or ?DNA message? that is able to both ?instruct? and to be ?read? by those who ingest the plants.
