  • Flagrantly flamboyant, life affirming and juicy - terms that have been used by others to describe my work. I create canvases of bold cubes of colour. Modern representations of buildings, plots of land, trees, lawns, open spaces, congested city cores, and vast sky slowly emerge for the viewer from the bold patchworks of colour on the canvas. After closer scrutiny an emotional response follows: celebration, anger, despair...I've broken down traditional landscapes into geometric shapes constructed of colour and texture. They are put on canvas intertwined with dream sequences which to me are another form of landscapes. I see the work as ethereal.
