How to Buy and Sell on the New York Art Exchange (NYAXE)

1. Seller lists item for sale
The first step is for the artist to take their work and list it on the New York Art Exchange (nyaxe.com)

2. Buyer bids on Work
A buyer selects your work on the New York Art Exchange (nyaxe.com) and bids to purchase your work.

3. Seller Accepts Bid
The seller accepts the bid from the buyer, and acknowledges on nyaxe.com they have the painting and will ship it. The transaction is now underway!

4. Seller Ships Work
The seller carefully packs up the art work and brings it to shipping - UPS, FedEx, or private carrier. Artist keeps copies of all shipping bills and information.

5. Seller Acknowledges Shipment
The seller puts the shipping information into nyaxe.com with the carrier, tracking details and expected date.

6. nyaxe releases shipping funds
Nyaxe will release funds to reimburse you for shipping once you acknowledge the art is en route. You must have the carrier and tracking details entered.

7. Buyer receives work & accepts work
The buyer next receives the work. The buyer then determines if the work was received undamaged and meets their expectations. Once they are happy with it, they acknowledge receipt and acceptance on NYAXE.

8. nyaxe releases remaining funds
NYAXE will release the remaining funds due to the seller. Commissions are taken from the final amount. The seller can withdraw the money via paypal.

myartspace announces a new juried art competition; to represent winning artists at the Scream LONDON gallery

Myartspace.com, the premier online venue for contemporary art has launched a new juried competition to its community members. The top-3 winners of the competition will have their work represented at the Scream London Gallery in June 2009. Deadline for submission is May 15, 2009.

Palo Alto, CA. January 9, 2008 -- myartspace.com, the premier online venue for contemporary art has launched an exciting new juried competition for its community – London Calling 2009. The top 3 winning artists will have their work represented at the Scream London Gallery in June 2009.

The deadline for contest registration and submission of work is May 15, 2009.In order to enter the competition, artists must be a member of myartspace or the New York Art Exchange (www.nyaxe.com). Membership is free, and members can upload an unlimited amount of fine art, music, video and audio narration and create a highly contemporary art viewing experience.

Registration for the London Calling 2009 competition is $50, but will be reduced by 50% to $25 before March 31, 2009. The winners will be announced by May 31, 2009. The exhibit at the scream London Gallery will occur the week of June 22nd.
