- Statement:
- The genesis of my artwork starts with certain primal shapes . Often they are shapes I've been fascinated with since childhood. Early encounters with snakes and other wild life have left indelible impressions on my aesthetic sensibilities. I love playing with shapes. and in my 3-D work often generate many different shape parts before finding the ones that work. I love unusual juxtapositions of shapes and colors. I am inspired by the work of Frederick Hundertwasser, Elizabeth Murray, Phiip Guston, and Hindu and Tibetan Tantric among others.

- Currently teaching high school in Rochester, NY. Received BFA from Kansas City Art Institute and MFA from Tyler School of Art, Temple University, Philadelphia PA.
